With the participation of \u00d3buda University, a measurement campaign organized as part of the GreenQual project took place in Krak\u00f3w from November 17 to 21, 2025. The aim of the campaign was to collect urban environmental data for the validation of simulation models and to establish baseline (status quo) models.

Marcell N\u00e1n\u00e1si served as the technical lead for the measurement campaign, responsible for coordinating the entire process and managing on-site operations. Martin Kolman played a key role in the successful execution of the campaign; drawing on his technical expertise, he directly operated the most critical measuring instrument, ensuring data accuracy, and also actively participated in the technical preparation processes.

Borb\u00e1la Fodor and Bal\u00e1zs Szucs\u00e1n, students at the Ybl Mikl\u00f3s Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, as well as staff members from the University of Agriculture in Krak\u00f3w\u2014Dr. Barbara Czesak, Dr. Renata R\u00f3\u017cycka-Czas, and their students\u2014participated in the implementation of the measurement campaign. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their on-site support and cooperation. The campaign was hampered by unfavorable weather conditions, but thanks to the team\u2019s persistent efforts, all planned measurements were successfully carried out.

Measurement Locations<\/strong>

The field measurements were conducted at three distinct urban locations in Krak\u00f3w:
\u2022 \u015aw. Tomasza 23
\u2022 Plac \u015bw. Marii Magdaleny
\u2022 Henryk Jordan Park

At each site, four measurement series, each lasting 30 minutes, were conducted. The measurement points were designated and the measurement structure was established in advance, prior to the campaign, ensuring that on-site data collection proceeded according to plan and in a standardized manner.

Measured Parameters
<\/strong>
The following environmental parameters were recorded during the campaign:
\u2022 wind speed and wind direction
\u2022 air temperature
\u2022 relative humidity
\u2022 air pressure
\u2022 illumination (luminance)
\u2022 air pollution indicators

The following individuals from \u00d3buda University participated in carrying out the measurement tasks:

Weather Conditions
<\/strong>
During the measurement campaign, participants faced unfavorable weather conditions, including low temperatures and rainy weather. These factors made fieldwork difficult; however, thanks to careful preparation and the participants\u2019 dedicated efforts, the entire measurement program was successfully completed.

Results and Applications
<\/strong>
The data collected during the campaign are of fundamental importance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 for validating urban environmental and microclimate models,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 as well as for refining and further developing baseline models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The measurement campaign contributes to achieving the technical objectives of the GreenQual project and strengthens international research collaborations.
