We are pleased to announce that the #GREENQUAL project has been awarded a grant under the „EIG CONCERT-Japan, 10th call: Solutions for Carbon-Neutral Cities”!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The European Interest Group (EIG) CONCERT-Japan is an international initiative to promote and strengthen science, technology and innovation (STI) cooperation between the European region and Japan.
After careful consideration at the Scientific Committee meeting held in Warsaw on 16 October 2023, six projects were selected from a pool of proposals involving Japanese and European researchers, starting in the first half of 2024 and funded for a three-year period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Researchers from the Ybl Mikl\u00f3s Ybl Faculty of Civil Engineering at Obuda University, in collaboration with Hungarian, Japanese and Polish partners, will investigate the impact of green surfaces in densely built-up urban areas in different climates, and develop optimised designs to improve climate adaptation, water, soil and air quality, and to support carbon sinks and provide a healthier environment for residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lead researchers of the consortium are: Prof. Michihiro Kita from Osaka University (Japanese project leader), Dr. Vikt\u00f3ria Sug\u00e1r from Obuda University (European project leader), Dr. B\u00e1lint Hartmann and Dr. Vera Iv\u00e1ncsics from F4STER, and Dr. Barbara Czesak and Dr. Renata R\u00f3\u017cycka-Czas from Krak\u00f3w University of Agriculture.<\/p>\n\n\n
